While doing a Truck Show at A Bit of The West and Midnight Sun we were expecting to see droves of people but we were blindsided by 10 inches of rain!!  The entire state of Rhode Island has been declared a Disaster Area.

They even closed the Interstates as most of Rhode Island and Massachusetts are closed to thru traffic along with several of the local coastal highways and bridges.  Earlier in the day there were boat rescues and evacuations.

Picture one shows the torrential record breaking rain.

Picture two shows the bridge in the middle of the storm with really high rain fall that rose even higher.

The third picture is a picture of the low tide.  At low tide you can usually see the bottom of the river.  After the down pour it is still 3 feet higher than usual.

A Bit of the West and Midnight Sun were the two brave entrepreneurs who tried to stay open during the storm, but we finally had to give up because they were closing the roads.

We are hoping for Sunshine Tomorrow!!!
