At this show there appeared that there was some kind of Psychedelic Flat Work which looked a lot like Huichol Arts.

Meet Dave Toule – Our New Local Rock Friend

A little while back, we met a man who had stones – Dave Toule

– and his working partner Bob.  They found what they believe to be Garnets (in a really strange formation)

and Jade of different kinds, all from the Northern Part of Wisconsin and some of the U.P. of Michigan.

Dave has a store front in Merrill where he has a bunch of rocks and minerals from around the area including Palio-Stone Tools, Raw Copper, Silver and other interesting mineral oddities.

Dave and Bob will be leaving for Denver in a couple of weeks to see what kind of response they get from the World-Wide Rock People.  They will be attending the Denver Gem and Mineral Show in Denver Colorado, September 11^th – 15^th.

Magical Delights will also be heading out to Denver for the Denver Gem and Mineral Show to pick up some materials for making more of our Handcrafted Jewelry Designs.

Often when we are going to the Denver Gem and Mineral Show in the Fall, or Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in the Early Spring, we ask our customers if there is anything in particular that you are interested in, please let us know and we will see if we can find some of it there.

While Scoop it out and about at various Art Festivals, I thought that I would offer some of our new items that we are offering this weekend at The Eastern Shore Art Center’s 40th Annual Outdoor Art Show in Fairhope Alabama!!!!

Although, I do not have the exact items that Scoop is offering this weekend in Fairhope, there are many that are not exact, but using the Magical Delights Creative Style, are on display there.  I meant to take photos of the very items, but alas, he had packed up and was off just as I was arriving at the store.  No time for anything but to wish safe travels and good weather!!

Magical Delights Creates An Amazing Magic Wand

Magical Delights has just returned from Tucson for the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.  Many of our Amazing Magic Wands are available for our customers new and old in our booth at the Globex/Days Inn Gem Show, Tent 27!!

Here is a preview of what Magical Delights is offering and how our wands are created.

Now that we have a plan for our wand, it is now time to Solder the separate pieces together.

From Huffman Shows to Christmas!! Merry Christmas One and All!!

It’s been a whirlwind Autumn for Magical Delights…now its settled down a bit so I can tell you about Villa Park, Omaha and next week about my Crystal Surgery Class at Four Winds in Cincinnati.

The Huffman Shows in Villa Park, November 3^rd thru 6^th was two weeks earlier than it has been for many years which…I think confused many of the customers that came from further away.

I had an interesting conversation with a profession colleague, Tim James of Pendragon .  He was visiting Omaha and saw Omaha and saw I was at the show so he stopped by.

He was really surprised by the extreme amount of buy/sell jewelry and also by the abundance of buy/sell wood and craft pieces, we knows the distributor who is a friend of his.  This is not how the show is portrayed.

Consequently, Omaha was not a good show for us so…I will not be back there but will look for a Art Fair there in the summer.
We are working fast and furious on items to take with us to Tucson in February, so that will keep us pretty busy until then.  We added lots a new stuff to the website and sold quite a bit at Christmas and have replaced those also so the selection is great!!  Stop on over to see what we have at www.magicaldelights.com.

Magical Delights at St James Court in Louisville Kentucky

During the first part of October, Magical Delights went to do a New Art Fair (for us that is) in Louisville, Kentucky called St James Court Art Show.  The show is a really large event that has been in existence for 50 years.

I was told by the customers that the schools are even closed, city wide, during the show.  The St James Court Show Art Show is usually mentioned among the top Art and Crafts Shows in the US.

I was never close enough to it  to see what it commemorates.

This weekend Magical Delights will be in Omaha, Nebraska for the Autumn Festivals an Arts and Crafts Affair at the Qwest Center.    We will be there November 17 th thru the 20th each day from 9:00 to 7:00 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 9:00 to 5:00 on Sunday.  Stop out if you are in the neighborhood to see our newest Handcrafted Jewelry Designs by Magical Delights.

We then went to Denver for the Denver Gem and Mineral Show.  What happened there was that we went to the Coliseum part of the show.  They had a whole bunch of new vendors outside and we started off spending way too much money.

He had an interesting little story that went with the rocks.  He was working as a care taker on a big ranch in Colorado, so when he was not busy care taking he would just kind of look around.

He found this interesting stone formation kind of by mistake.  When he told the Lady that owned the property what he had found, she said that he could help himself with it and use it for his own financial benefit.  How great is that!!

Here is a close up of some of Qsar’s Blue Green Kyanite.  The largest one is 1  7/8 inch wide by 2 1/4 inch high by 1 inch deep.  The smaller one is 1 1/4 inch wide by 1 3/8 inch high by 1 inch deep.

Next to Qsar we happened to meet some Peruvian Vendors and Jean made friends with them.

The drive through the mountains was, as you would expect, spectacular – unfortunately I was driving so didn’t get any shots of it.

The Show was really a gem!! With lots of excellent vendors.
